THE GROUP WHERE NEW IDEAS ARE LET LOOSE

This is a group of knives for those who want something special.  Descriptions of shape, colour, choice of materials and this little bit extra are found within this section.  Here you will find knives that have been made on an impulse or as a result of an experiment.  Here each knife is unique.

HFL = hand-forged, three-layer laminated blade (traditional)

ELVERUM-FENALÅRSKNIVEN no. 713

DEMONSTRATION KNIFE

This is one of my first models designed in regard to the area of Hedemark and Trysil.
My silver working seperates this knife from others  especially the back bolster with an extra expansion or mineral stone set on it and decorated with silver thread of type used on the national costum.
The knife blade has a special shape and it is this that gave the name.
The mineral stones wil always be Norwegian and which have been finished by hand one at a time. They are chosen with regard to the colouration of the shaft material and with regard to what the knife will be used for. The belt strap is fitted with my logo pin in silver.

STEG - revival of the Nordic Bear Knife

"STEG" means step and in this case we take a step about 10-12 years back when a similar knife - probably  named "Bjørnekniven" - The Bear Knife - was available on the Nordic market. With this knife as a pattern I made the first "STEG" in 1994. The knifes have moulded mountings in sterling silver or bronze on the front and back shaft. The triangular shape of the shaft provides a unique contact with the edge of the knife. The blade forged in carbon steel has a lengthen part that goes as one-piece construction with the handle.

"GERFALCON JUBILEE"

THE KNIFE THAT MARKS THE JUBILEE OF MAKING KNIVES FOR 25 YEARS.
In this series there are only 9 knives to be sold.
It is a wery small knife. Totaly length 17cm/6,7 inch with sheet.
Shaft: length: 9,5cm/3,7 inch,  width.: 9,4cm/3,7 inch, thickness: 9,4cm/3,7 inch
Blade: forged 3-layer 7cm/2,7inch. ( is varying).

The shaft is made in "Pakkawood". Very thin layer of colored wood glued togheter with Polyester. Stabilaised and preservaited. A good knife for the small work, and You can vear it in your Pocket. The name is given from the dekorativ top of the shaft, - The skull, beak, and eyes of a falcon. The curve under the beak gives a fit for the little finger.
