There are a number of knives on the market that are designed to be kept in a drawer, in a cube or hung on a magnetic rack. There is everything from small lnives to kitchen knives, and also those used in other industries.
There may be come that day when you decide that you need to take one or more of these knives with you to another place. On a fishing trip, hunting, to a BBQ party, or to some other function.
The tour terrain is uneven and is hard going and the knives are packed in a bag or in a rucksack.How are you going to protect the knife, is one thing, but more important HOW ARE YOU GOING TO PROTECT YOURSELF?
I have come up with a simple and inexpensive solution to this very problem.
I make a flat sheat. A piece of quality leather shaped and folded around the knife blade with the edge sealed with metal rivets. I shape the leather individueally for each knife if you want me to do this. However, this will mean that you will have to bring the knife to me so that I can see the shape of the blade.
If you are unable to bring it, then send it so that I can make a sheath for you. In practice I have found that three size usually suffice.
The smallest is suited for blades of 13-18 cm and costs 65 NOK
Medium suits blades of 19-22 cm and costs 95 NOK
The largest suites blades of 23-28 cm and costs 140 NOK
Postage and packing come in addition.
If you schould want the leather coloured then the choice is up to you. Brilliant red for a knife that is difficult to find, green for vegetabiles, or black because the work area is dirty.
This will cost you 10 NOK in addition to the cost of the sheath.
